Skin Wrinkle

A skin wrinkle around the eyes, mouth or forehead is the tell tale sign of a person’s age.

A skin wrinkle around the eyes, mouth or forehead is the tell tale sign of a person’s age. It can be horrifying for a woman to suddenly wake up to discover that the slight skin wrinkle she once saw only 6 months ago is now a deep skin wrinkle and apparent for all to see. I’m only 33 years old and for the past few years I have seen my forehead skin wrinkle deepen over time. If I look at photos of me in my early 20’s, I can see that the forehead skin wrinkles first made their appearance then only they were subtle. But just 9-10 years later the appearance of skin wrinkles there were more apparent.

Early Start To Skin Wrinkle Prevention

I have always been pretty protective of my skin and especially my eyes, even as early as my teens. I had a skin care routine that involved me washing my face with special fortified facial cleaners, never using bar soap or body soap on it. At age 12 I was already developing a weekend skin care routine that included exfoliating my face and using a weekly mud mask. You can almost say I was obsessed with skin wrinklemy skin. When my best friends came over for a sleepover, I held the cliché sleepovers in which we made it a beauty night. We would wash, exfoliate, steam and mask our faces while we watched a movie. We would even help our dark circles by using wet tea bags on our eyes.

The Brutal Reality Of A Skin Wrinkle

Even though I took great care of my skin nearly all of my life, fine lines and wrinkles are not biased and they will cling to each and every person. I’ve had to take some serious steps to help change my skin and to help prevent wrinkles in the future.

Quick Tips For Treating Your Skin Wrinkle

Here are some easy tips to help decrease skin wrinkle formation.

You are what you eat. Yes, this saying does apply to not only your body but to your skin. You will need to start eating healthy if you haven’t started to already. Eat plenty of whole grains, fresh fruits and healthy oils such as olive oil. A study done on people 70 years and older back in 2001 concluded that the people that ate healthy have fewer wrinkles over the people that did not eat so healthy. The greatest benefit you can provide for your skin by eating healthy is that you are nourishing your skin with plenty of antioxidants.  If you want to increase your antioxidant intake you can look for topical products that contain Vitamins: A, C and E. Also products that contain selenium, coenzyme Q10 and alpha-lipoic acid are proving to be very beneficial for healthy skin. I will be posting future information on why these vitamins are so great for the skin, so be sure to bookmark my site.

Daily exercise. Exercising every day will provide your skin with more oxygen which is one of the most important ingredients it needs to stay young and healthy.

Don’t smoke. Smoking not only increases the chances of getting fine lines and deep wrinkles, it also increases your chances of developing squamous cell cancers. (Squamous cells make up the layers of your skin.)

Use skin care products. These include and are not limited to wrinkle creams and various products to help reduce fine lines, provide antioxidants, improve collagen, prevent the development of skin wrinkle formation and help moisturize the skin.
